How to Maintain your email list health

Updated: Jan 20, 2021

Subject Line: Still In? I noticed you haven't opened my emails in a while

Hey [first name], it's [Claire] from [www, spotoncopywriter, com] here!

I want to make sure that I'm only sending emails to my readers who are getting a lot of value from them. My stats show that you have not opened my emails recently... Is that true?

Please feel free to unsubscribe if you no longer want to stay on my list, no hard feelings!

Click here to unsubscribe: Unsubscribe [link that unsubscribes them]

But if you're freaking out right now thinking "Wait! I love your emails!" Then just click the link below to stay on my list.

Click here to remain on my list: Remain on my list [link to tag them so they can be removed from the cold subscriber list]

Thanks! I hope to still see you around!

Cheers,

The above email is part of a series that I have sent out for my clients.
Many clients get really edgy about giving subscribers a nudge to leave their lists.
However, I explain to them that there is absolutely no benefit from having a massive list made up of subscribers who are not really interested, and will never buy your products.
Another consideration is that the more subscribers you have, the more your email automation software provider is going to charge.
Also if lots of subscribers are not opening your emails .... this makes you look BAD in googles eyes.
NOBODY wants to upset the Big G !!
